A Quick Christmas Home Tour
Join me for a quick Christmas home tour. Welcome! Let’s go inside.
I love how the Christmas wreath looks on the front door that I painted green earlier this year.
I kept the decor on the console table in the entryway simple since the decorated staircase is the star of this show!
Garlands cascading over banisters are what my decor dreams are made of.
Last year, in an Instagram post, I told the story of my love for decorated staircases. When I was a little girl, it was something I only saw in Christmas movies. I decorated a staircase for the first time after we moved to Canada. Oh, the joy!!!
This year, I am beyond happy with the outcome. It’s everything I had ever dreamed of.
I started with four garlands with magnolia leaves and gold and copper ornaments attached. I added berry picks, more greenery, red baubles, fairy lights, more pinecones, poinsettias, and navy and red plaid ribbon.
A bit of greenery in a blue and white pitcher on the hutch in the kitchen.
The houses and trees on a cake stand under a dome were a last-minute touch that I added to things I already had in the kitchen and the Christmas bins. I posted a reel on Instagram and Pinterest showing how I put it together.
I added my usual three items to the kitchen island. This year, I dried orange slices for the first time and added them to pinecones on a pretty serving tray.
Fairy lights are the perfect finishing touch these rope trees I made last year needed.
The chandelier over the dining nook also got a touch of Christmas this year. I draped a garland over the arms and hung four clear baubles from it that I filled with red glitter.
We have a second tree for the living area this year. I’ve had this small white tree forever and had lots of fun decorating it red and white with a candy cane theme.
The gingerbread people and North Pole sign are perfect to top this fun tree.
I added blue to my color scheme for the first time, and I must say, I am a fan! It might become a regular feature.
The mantel area looks different from the last time I showed it in photos. It got an impromptu makeover! A blog post about that is coming soon!
I could decorate my mantel exactly the way I wanted to for the first time, all because of the new design I’ll tell you about later. Keep an eye out for that post!
A chinoiserie accent had to make its way into the Christmas decor one way or another. I think it looks incredible on the mantel.
An Added Bonus…
I am not sure if this is a gift for you or me, but I hope you enjoy my first-ever YouTube video!
