Hey friend! It’s the weekend! I wanted to say finally, but in reality, it swooshed by in the blink of an eye.
I’m working my way through a to-do list that must be done before I can start painting the kitchen cabinets because once I begin working on that, there won’t be much time for anything else.
I should probably stop saying “just paint the cabinets” because it will be so much more than that once again. It’s a “give a mouse a cookie” kind of situation. But more about that later!
On the blog this week, I shared How to make your own flower press, and it seems to be a popular topic!

Can I share an embarrassing little secret with you? A few weeks ago I ordered three chinoiserie vases online. I waited with all the excitement you can imagine! The price was unbelievable… Yeah, I should have stopped right there, I know!

Exhibit A, B and C above…
Well, one of the three arrived on Wednesday and…the quality is amazing, but It’s not a vase…it’s a print of a vase! I kid you not!
How did I not see this? The images were so realistic. My husband thinks it is hilarious! My ego is slightly bruised, and I’m sad for the vases I’m not going to have after all.
But, don’t you worry. I will use those prints somewhere someday. It’s just a pity they are three different sizes since I was planning for a trio of real vases.
Anywho, grab your coffee or tea, and let’s get on to my finds of the week!

September 11, 2021Your vase story is amazing. I can relate…I ended up with the most horrible little pumpkin garden stake and it is likely going to cost more to ship it back than it cost in the first place. Loved your flower press blog – photos are amazing. Thanks for sharing me! I appreciate it so much!
